Spent a few days in ToFS recently and decided to go all the way.

I was a lvl 44 Druid (defiant geared) with the new tank merc. Getting all the keys was a major pain but when I finally made it up to the top level. I just went all the way to the back of the zone and the very first bat I killed spawned her (furthest room down the long hallway).

After being nailed by that Magi Curse a few times before on other mobs I knew I wasn't going to have my mana for long. The merc ran in and started trashing her so I stuck her with 4 dots and burned her down with DD spells. She only came after me twice so the tank merc did a really great job.

I was really not even going to try it after I read all the hype about her but I guess defiant gear and a merc make a huge difference lol.

Just sharing my story because I've wanted that key for a while now and I'm happy :P

I used to kill Tserrina quite often on my druid a year or two ago with usually very little problem. I wanted her staff for an alt, so I decided to go up there again and encountered a rather deadly problem.

Tserrina has gained a new ability called Magi Curse, which seems to be unresistable. It deals 100 damage and drains 100 mana every tick and always landed, even when I popped a Veteran reward and got 505 to each resist.

I only managed to survive because I had a boxed cleric who kept me alive while I kept my epic's clickie dot on her. Eventually I had to drink a mana potion and managed to finish her off.

Either bring a friend or burn her QUICKLY before she runs you out of mana.

Edit: Just tried again with my ranger and cleric. It went smoother, but I didn't resist a single Magi Curse. The spell info on Alla shows it as unresistable. I could shrug off some of the stun affects of Magi Curse, though. Also, she's not undead.

I have brought a bunch of alts to the top floor to kill Tserrina for the master key, in preparation for the fabled season starting in a few weeks. I have no idea what the spawn timers are on trash but I can tell you it is not the same for the shrouded bats that pop Tserrina.

I have killed the bats once, getting one Tserrina, and since then I have killed the Shadowed torch room twice with no Shrouded Bats repoping. Either they are on a different spawn timer or they OFTEN skip spawns. There were only 3 up when I arrived so that may be the case.

Anyway, If you want to farm the master key, prepare for a long camp.

I was on the third floor killing stuff, and I ran into a bat. I killed the bat and all of the sudden I was blinded and beaing beatin alive by her. She must spawn anywhere a shadowed bat can. Sucked. I will have my revenge.

Orginally, there was another mirror. Each mirror was SUPPOSE to take you to a certain level. 7 mirrors, first six for each level and the 7th to port you back out to iceclad. I dunno when it happened but now all the mirrors take you out, go figure. As for the "mysterious" 8th floor....That is the floor the mirrors are on. From the 7th floor, take the spiral stairs up to the 8th floor.

Orginally it went this way.
Once to the 7th floor, you would fight Tserrina after finding which was her in the back area (past the torch room) where the shrouded bats were. If you allowed her to gate she would gate to the 8th floor beyond the 2nd locked door (the first locked door could be opened with the large metal key dropped from Vhalsera).
Then she would summon you 1 by 1 and kill the raid. Because no one could get past the 2 locked doors unless you had ALREADY had Tserrina key you were pretty much SoL. IF you did kill Tserrina, 1 person looted her key, raid followed the keyholder up the stairs to the 8th floor, opened the 2nd locked door (at which point it becomes soul bound now days) and you would find the "room of mirrors" that took you to any floor or back out again.

This must have seemed too hard and it got NERFED. Now you only need the large metal key to get to the room of mirrors. Tserria key only allows you to go to the room of mirrors from level 1 and has no other use. You can also use the level 1 mirror on the left to make it soulbound to you now days. As for the 7th mirror that disappeared, that was the one mirror that was SUPPOSE to take you back to iceclad.

My regular threesome started through the tower in our high 40s; by the time we spawned Tserrina we were 49 SK, 50 Bard, 50 Cleric. It was a close fight. The SK doesn't have vet rewards but the other two used Infusion of the Faithful, and some of Tserrina's spin-stuns were still getting through. Between that and charm we were having enough trouble just staying on her that we didn't have much control over positioning, so she ended up in a corner behind a lamp and summoned the SK and Bard there, where we both got stuck and were unable to hit her. Fortunately by then we had her down low enough that the cleric (and the mighty SK pet) finished her off. Not much useful loot for those classes, alas, though the SK did get the snare-whip.

As noted elsewhere on this page, her bat conned LB to us at 49-50 (and saw through invis) whereas the other bats were DB and can't see invis.

While we were healing up afterward another LB bat spawned and aggroed on us. We knew we couldn't handle a second Tserrina fight with our vet rewards blown (Cleric had also used the hp/mana replenishment one) so the cleric used root and atone to clear aggro.

Did they nerf NPC Charm, by the way? The SK got charmed a few times but it seemed to act more like a mez; he was never forced to attack the others.

I was killing my way up the tower for chanter 1.5 epic charm / turn in when a bat spawned with the wedding party on level... 4(5?). Killed it along with the others and she spawned! got my key to floor 7 and ran the group up. she also dropped the mage reclaim energy clicky and a caster/priest next item

68 druid here, took my friend, lvl 51 wiz, in with me. we just killed into back room behind secret wall. There are 4 rooms with bats in them. We killed bats until we spawned named. She spawned right on top and directly after dead bat. Took one clearing for first named..But respawn is looonnggggg.

I also had a situation tonite where Tserrina spawned...said she was casting..then poof. I have filed a petition and /bug command to see what is going on. I'll keep all updated if having same problem.

Almost, but not quite, a mildly tough fight for a 65 Necro... ended up with about 60% mana, but only had to heal the 61 warrior pet once. The only spell she resisted was the level 63 Darkness (snare), otherwise I cast Funeral Pyre on her twice, plus a couple of Neurotoxins and Touch of Mujakis. Went down in about 90 seconds.

65 nec, really easy, only healed pet once. has a descent amount of hp, but is very weak.

Me a lvl 58 Pali and a 53 Necro just took her down. I can verify that all bats were light blue. Then tonight. there was one that was green. Sure enough she spawned.
The Tower of Frozen Shadows master key has been added to your keyring. Woot!!!

Tserrina's bat is always a bit lower, less HP than a bat that's going to spawn an enraged vamp.

Fun solo for a 65 cleric. Resistant b*tch.

walked up couldn't get her slowed or crippled so i just tanked her ..didn't even bother casting

she just stood their getting interrupted most the fight did aobut 1-2k dmg ...sucker

I have soloed this wench many hundreds of times on the nights I got really bored.. Now adays when I go there to kill her I dont take the fight serious. I will be in tells with my friend while fight is going on and just chatting away while I am kicking the S**t out of her.. I am a 65 enchanter no special gear yet. I usually just stand in front of her and block melee hits from my pet using my runes to not take any dmg. and I have a blast using melee in this fight considering I am near her taking hits might as well bash her up. its also nice to have a switch to delightful orb of forgotten magic so my hits will actually do something.. that is when the proc isnt resisted. anyways.. just to say she is way to easy for a 65 enchanter to solo. but still a fun fight. if you have any low lv alts bring them here . if you cant hydra have someone with a Tserinna Key get your alt into bat room and camp your alt until Tserinna spawns and is killed... the loot is good for low lv int casters. and one melee whip with Muscle lock 1 on it. Though the Tserinna staff has uses even to my enchanter at times.. Like being almost dead .. but having rune up... equip that staff NDT yourself and haste and spectre lifetap away.. I know its still gimp but its my souvenir =P

There is a book called The Dark Truth Vol. 7 involving Tserrina and the only other NPC link I could find is (from the text in the book): Venril Sathir ... not too sure if anything significant occurred involving the book and these NPCs, but it is interesting to read.

Anyone know if anything happened involving any of this?

killed 1st bad on the right she spawned. SOloed her (65 DRU time gear) ever went under 90% HP so didnt need to heal at all =/ she got lots of HP considering shes 3 year old content shes tough. Just doted and Nuked her. Each nuke took about 5 % of her HP =/

Tserrina is NOT what she used to be! Myself (51 necromancer) and my RL friend (62 paladin) just duo'ed Tserrina! The paladin had already burned LoH on a train in a previous lvl, and had his virtue dispelled by an enraged vampire. The only spell my necro could land was his lifetap (drain soul) and the paladin only had to use a few small heals 3 times during the battle. With the aggro on the paladin through most of the fight, we were able to avoid being charmed and dispelled. The paladin had around 160+ svm, but I only had around 105. She was able to land one dot on me and that was the damage that my necro took.

She is a joke, took a myself 61 warrior 53 cleric 51druid, 53 mage, 51 enchanter and waxed her overkill style. She dropped the key, staff, and gem. All no drop so bring your twinks with you. Hope this helps and happy farming :)

THERE IS AN 8TH FLOOR...we just got to it on the Stromm server. It basically involves a very simple but lengthy process. First you must start on the first floor and kill every boss mob on your way up. And you can't kill the boss mobs from floors 1-4 leave come back and get the rest...you need to do it all in one step. Once you get to the 7th floor you get Tserrina to spawn and you have to kill her not once, twice, three, four, but FIVE times... after her 5th corpse has been looted the Floor ( only the 7th floor will receive this message as we asked a group on the 2nd floor if they saw it and they didnt) will then receive an in game message saying how your fate awaits on the 8th floor etc etc. Voila Tserrinas body will disappear and a bag will pop to replace it. Inside the bag will be the 8th and final key to the 8th floor which can be accesed from the locked mirror. Now is when the fun begins...you better be medded and buffed before you go into here because Tserrina is back for revenge, or at least version 2.0 which conned Red to a lvl 62 (guessing shes 65) and she is MEAN. Same strategies apply on her as the version on the 7th floor, we were not ready for her the first time though and died, got our necro to corpse summon and were on our merry way back to the 8th floor. We finally took her down and looted from her another key which led to another area of the 8th floor. This time we figured wed sit med etc etc. Final SHOWDOWN with non other than the bad boy dark elf vamp himself MISTMOORE! Now we did not take him down, actualyl only got him to about 80 % health before we were decimated...second time we tried got him to 83%...when we went up there the third time he was gone. We ported back outside of the tower and the person who had looted the 8th floor key and the key to access the 2nd area of the 8th floor said the keys were gone from their inventory. Instead of the keys he had "Kerafyrm Slayer"...a 2hs weapon... 40 delay/90 dmg with +30 to all stats and +50 to all resists! Plus it has a unlimited triggered effect of Kerafyrms breath...a 100,000 Cold based direct damage Spell!!! Naturally we went to take down kerafyrm and we did and as a prize were all GM's now !!! Lol just messing with ya'll if you havent figured it out by now.

Me (47 Chanter) and a few others from my alt's guild where bored one morning, so I just wanted to get up here and take her down a few times. the following classes where present:

52 warrior
47 chanter
50 cleric
56 monk
52 monk
52 Necro

and im glad to say I only died once. We went in there with on keys on us, and cleared the entire floors about twice to get the keys. This took us about 3 hours (we got lucky) After we hit the top floor, our puller, being a bad monk, trained us (How a monk did, I dont know) but I got swarmed, being the aggro-gatherer that I am, and got killed. I was rezzed, and back and ready for action. We cleared the bats, no Tess.
An hour of sitting and playing gems went by in the back room when the second round of bats spawned. She spawned on the last one. The necro's pet was charmed, and we killed it, but after that, Tess was really no problem, warrior being a troll and bashing her spells.
Next time, she came in, and landed a charm on our 56 monk (he was mezzed the rest of the fight) and no one in our group got out with more then 20% life, and oom, but we survived.
2 more bat fights and she spawned again, by now I had everyone on crack, fighting faster then light, and her being frail, stupid, and manaless, went down easy.

She dropped:

1) Key, staff, gem
2) Key, Symbol, Gem
3) Key, Gem

after that, the monk left and we got the hell out of there as fast as we possibly could
